The Indie Roots Tour Documentary

Something about flickering images and popcorn make film an undeniably persuasive force. This is why Indie Roots will document the DC Voting Rights Tour and its effect on legislation, DC citizens, and the democratic process. We're hoping to turn a 200-year old issue into the flavor of the year and find a permanent resolution -- and document the process for posterity.

We're envisioning Rock the Vote meets Bands on the Run with a touch of West Wing, and, you know, 1776. Rocking 31 cities in 35 days is no small task, to say nothing of overturning a misjudgment of the American founding fathers, with a busload of artistic types. But we're idealists, and we tend to think big.
